About our Unit!
The WBCCI was formed in 1955 by Wally Byam, the founder of the Airstream Company. Shortly
after the founding of the WBCCI, the Akron Unit was organized in 1964. At the present time,
we have approximately 50 trailer families in the unit. We have six dinners and six rallies
each year. Most of the rallies are held in Northeast Ohio but we have had some in other
states including Mystery rallies. We also have a Regional Rally and an International Rally.
The International rally typically draws thousands of airstreamers to one location!
The annual membership dues are $65.00 for the International and $12.00 for the Akron Unit
dues for a total annual cost of $77.00.
We are very proud of our Akron Unit and its history as well as past Presidents. Following
