2012 Update

Dear Airstream Owner:

Thank You for visiting our Web Site. If you own an Airstream Travel Trailer or an Airstream Mororhome, we invite you to join us at one of our scheduled activities. We would like to get to know you and your family, and share with you the pleasures we enjoy traveling and camping together using our rigs.

The Akron Unit of The Wally Byam Caravan Club International (WBCCI) is one of ten geographically established Airstream Travel Club in the State of Ohio. The International Organization is divided into twelve Regions covering Canada, United States and Mexico. Michigan, Ohio and West Virginia make up Region 4.

The Akron Unit endeavors to schedule 12 to 15 activities throughout the calendar year. During the Winter months we meet once a month on a Saturday for lunch together at either a home or local restaurants. Starting in May we begin camping together on Planned and Scheduled Camping Weekends at points of interest within a hundred mile radius of you homes. We are volunteer organization. Our luncheons are planned and hosted by a volunteer host couple. Our Rally’s are planned and scheduled by the willingness of several volunteers. Activities, meals, entertainment and reservations are coordinated by the host/hosts and communicated by email and/or our monthly News Letter.

Membership in WBCCI affords you as a subscriber and member of the organization the opportunity to participate in any of our activities. We encourage you to join us or join a Unit in closer proximity to your home. The membership dues for International are $65.00/year and the dues for our Akron Unit are $12.00/year. International dues cover the expense of our International Board of Trustees (IBT), the publication of a National Membership Directory and a subscription to the “Blue Beret Magazine”, our Official Publication. Akron Unit dues cover our communication expense and or Club Directory. In addition to park and facility Camping Fees each of our Travel Rally’s incurs a nominal Rally fee.
